Steez Skateboart

About a solid 3 years in the making but it's finally here! The board graphic I did for Steez Magazine is finally printed and ready for you to tear it a new one! Or for it to be hung over the fireplace during your fancy wine and cheese parties. It's all up to you. Check out their new issue with the killer(ziinngggg) cover by Cleon Peterson.

The boards are on sale for a cool 40 dollars and come in either 8.25 or 8.5 because that's what real men, and women, ride. Link below:

Dogs and Boards

Did some recent portraits. I've been out of college for 6 years and am proud to say that I have finally done not 1 but, 2 dog portraits. It almost felt like a right of passage. Now let's get down to brass tax.

Let me tell you 'bout THIS GUY! This has been some serious long time coming type of project. It's been redone, reworked, tweaked, chopped and screwed and been biding some serious time to strike. Well, the the iron's hot so watch out. It's REALLY coming out this time. Full detail pics and info on where to buy coming soon......

Let These Monsters Skate

I have this piece on my website, but I don't think I ever posted anything about it on here. Unfortunately, due to funding, the board was never printed. I'm still pushing to get it done, so hopefully it will see the light of day at some point. I've included a good chunk of process pics that showcase most of the coloring process and the various shoes I wore while working on this.

I had just moved into a tiny bedroom in Brooklyn so the floor was my studio for a few months. Was laying on my stomach most of the time I worked on this.

Pointless, but Hopefully Somewhat Entertaining.

Sneak peek of a project I just finished, but cannot completely reveal yet:

I recently went upstate to visit my family and while I was there I found a long lost treasure: Alien comic books. These were the ones that came with various action figures done by Kenner in '92. When they released this line they wanted to give you a wallop of a package, so not only did you get melted down plastic shapes of alien life forms, but you also got a nail-biting, thrill ride of a read.

Sweet.
The craziest thing about these comics was at the end of every issue there was some crazy cliffhanger where aliens were wreaking havoc on some planet and the gang hopped into their space jet, flew there, and blew up any creature that resembled some alien life form that mated with any kind of species from Earth. This seemed to imply that the alien hunters never slept or ate, did a piss-poor job at actually killing the aliens, and that all species on Earth also exist on other planets.

I also found my first skateboard. Saved up 140 dollars to buy this thing when I was in sixth grade.

What was once the tail.

Made a new friend.

To anyone that saw me drawing hundreds of cats in my sketchbook, or had heard me mention this, well, here it is.

Largely inspired by this big guy.

Reunited, and it feels so good.

New illustration for Steez Magazine. Pretty hyped that my good bud, Marcus Sears has been having his photos published in the same mag for the past few months. He's a rad photographer, filmer, and one fine human being.
