Gimme! Coffee Cold Brew Growler

New illustration for the Gimme! Coffee summer cold brew growler. I've been casually chasing this dream of illustrating beer and wine logos so this one felt like a step in the right direction. It probably comes as no surprise I love making illustrations about Coney Island, considering my recent work for the band PMS & The Mood Swings so, here we are! 

This one was a bit trickier of a process since the illustration would be printed with white ink on amber glass. I've never done something like this so there was definitely a learning curve but definitely happy with how it came out. I actually love how creepy the ice cream cone and hot dog look with black eyes and black teeth. The growlers are available in store and online now. Hit the link to purchase! PMS & THE MOOD SWINGS

I've been sitting on this one for almost a year now but, the time has finally come for the big announcement: The PMS & THE MOOD SWINGS album is being released JUNE 1st on BURGER RECORDS!!! I loved working on this piece, not only because I know these people but, I love Coney Island, and putting these 2 things together was a dream come true. This is the time first time I've been able to illustrate almost every aspect of the album art and it was a lot of fun to tie this whole thing together. The raw beauty and wild cats of Greece

Greece, baby!!! The third to last stop on our odyssey and Athens had some gems in store for me. There are so many wild cats roaming the city and some of them aren't afraid to come up to you and be your new best friend. If our trip back was as easy as a few hours in a car, there was one cat in particular we probably would have brought home with us. This guy on the motorcycle was not the one but he definitely knows how to put on a show. He saw me at work and decided to make my drawing of a beat up bike into a great drawing of a beat up bike.

Like I said above, these Greek cats know how to make a picture really shine.

Sketches From Italy

We spent a little over a week traveling through Italy on our european odyssey so I was lucky to get a good bit of sketching done while we were there. The big cities were great but those little towns built on the mountains next to the sea are where it's at.

This sketch of the bar in Florence was the point where I felt like drawing from life was starting to become a little bit more natural for me again. The militaristic work ethic of RISD drawing courses really loosened me up and I haven't felt that sort of comfort and confidence in my life drawing since then. It really took me a good month and a half of drawing almost every day on this trip to start to feel that looseness again.

From 95 The Met to Earnhardt

Recent t-shirt design I whipped up for the band, Earnhardt. A while back, the lead singer of the band was a regular at the coffee shop I work at and spoke to me about a t-shirt I was wearing. It had a hot pink and blue logo of the radio station, 95 The Met, which I grew up listening to. Turned out he was from a town a short drive away from where I grew up and was curious if I actually knew the station. Well, that sealed the deal, we've had some beers since then, he's helped me assemble some stuff for my apartment and I've been to some of his shows. So, when the time came for a t-shirt design, how could I say no? Him and the band had a pretty solid idea for the design and the color scheme so we messed around with some sketches and then quickly moved into the final and that was that. Thanks to Adam for asking me to do this. Long live the southern tier!
