Howlin Wolf
Recent commissioned portrait of blues singer, Howlin Wolf. I had done a drawing of Howlin Wolf as a birthday gift for my friend(see below) and after he posted it on instagram people were asking left and right for prints of it. I decided that I couldn't make prints out of a friends gift, kinda kills the sentimentality, so I agreed on working up a different version for someone else I know. I've always been a big fan of Howlin Wolf so sitting around and listening to his music while I draw him numerous times is no problem for me. And, in case you've been depriving yourself of this man's music, here's a little taster right HERE!

Nick Waterhouse/Soul Clap & Dance-Off
New one for the late night Nick Waterhouse and Jonathan Toubin Brooklyn Steel after party/Soul Clap & Dance-Off. I had originally planned on doing a Hanna Barbera inspired title card color way for the background but opted for a worn out record sleeve look, which I think fits Nick's aesthetic better. Party goes down on November 17th from 11:30PM - 4AM at Brooklyn Bazaar!

"Call me Snake"
I think for the last 5 years I've been meaning to do this and I think a lot of people wanted me to do it purely based off the fact I made a choking poster based off Escape From New York. Well, here it is! I finally went and done did it and went full Snake Plissken all over Halloween's ass. Even whipped up some homemade shin guards and Snake's wrist watch counting down how much time he has until the microscopic capsules burst inside the arteries in his neck.
Took it on down to Jonathan Toubin's Haunted Hop at the Knockdown Center and shot about 5 pictures the whole night! The 3 below are Death Valley Girls, Hank Wood and The Hammerheads, who put on an amazing show, and the man of the hour, Roky Erickson!
