2018 is coming to a close and Jonathan Toubin is throwing a Soul Clap & Dance-Off holiday party of grand proportions! The Black Lips are headlining the night and are being supported by two great NYC garage bands, Gnarccisists and The Advertisers. I used a pretty minimal palette on this piece and I really enjoy the final outcome. I'm such a broken record about this but I really try to practice restraint, as hard as it is for me, and I was pleasantly surprised how it worked out. I love all those old illustrated jazz albums covers of the 50's but I go too crazy to ever learn any lessons from them. Anyways, the show kicks off at 8PM, SATURDAY, DECEMBER 15TH at ELSEWHERE.
