June edition of the Soul Clap & Dance-Off!

Well, well, well. Here we have the 6th illustration in the series of the Soul Clap & Dance-Off residency at Elsewhere and that about wraps it up......PSYCH! Things have gone so well that Jonathan Toubin & Co. are going to be throwing this party monthly, indefinitely. Get ready for plenty more posters and hopefully I can keep it fresh and interesting. This month is a post-punk dream come true and we tried to create something that nods to the aesthetic of the diy posters of the past. Plenty of cut and paste action with punk queen Poly Styrene while trying to nod to the soul posters of the 60's as well. Tickets are on sale HERE

Livin' Astro at the Soul Clap & Dance-Off

We got us a wild one here! Kool Keith and Ian Svenonius on the same bill! This is going to be a Soul Clap & Dance-Off to remember. Had a blast working on this one and listening to "Black Elvis/Lost in Space" over and over. I originally planned to do this all green poster but balancing all the values was a headache so I just decided go with some of the color craziness of the "Livin' Astro" music video. Got some process pics below, if you're into that sorta thing, and click on the link to get your tickets before this baby sells out!

All this and then there'll be hours and hours of dancing to the immaculately curated vinyl tunes of DJ Jonathan Toubin! Info is all right HERE! Thanks again to Jonathan Toubin. Summer Solstice at Roberta's Pizza

Just wrapped up this poster for Roberta's Pizza summer solstice party on June 21st.  It all starts at 2pm and charges through for a sweet 8 hours of, hopefully, good times. In case you've never been, this place is a pizza goldmine and this could be as good a reason as any to get your butt there to give it a try. Maybe you'll even see the Clinton's there, casually snacking away. Loaded it up on the process pics for your viewing pleasure.
